Love…
they say it’s a beautiful thing.
And it is.
Love is sweet
it feels like warmth on a cold day,
like peace in the middle of chaos,
like finding a place
where your heart can finally rest.
But love is more than just sweetness.
Love is patient.
Love is understanding.
Love is sacrifice.
Because real love doesn’t only show up
when things are easy
it shows up when things are hard,
when misunderstandings happen,
when emotions rise,
and staying becomes a choice, not a feeling.
There are different kinds of love.
There is Agape love
a selfless, unconditional kind of love,
the kind that gives without expecting anything in return,
the kind that puts others before self.
There is Philia love
the love between friends,
built on trust, loyalty, laughter,
and shared moments that become memories.
There is love that is unconditional
the kind that doesn’t depend on perfection,
the kind that sees flaws
and still chooses to stay.
But even with all this,
love must have wisdom.
Because love without boundaries
can become pain.
Love without respect
can become damage.
And love without truth
is not love at all.
Love should not break you.
It should not silence you.
It should not make you lose yourself
just to keep someone else.
True love builds.
It supports.
It grows.
It corrects you gently,
it stands with you boldly,
and it chooses you daily
not just when it feels good,
but when it matters most.
So yes…
love is beautiful.
But more than that
love is intentional.
Love is a decision.
And real love…
is something you give,
but also something you must learn
to receive the right way.
