Planted seedlings by hand a narrow space that couldn't plant by rice transplanter.
Even just walk a ridge between rice field, you can see various kinds of creatures. But if you get into rice field, you can meet much more.
In underwater, diving beetles are bustle everywhere and a leech swimming smoothly.
A honey bee visits me when I'm mowing grass. She came near me again and again as if to ask "what are you doing?".
When I cleaning to unclog drain of rice field, a frog emarge from the water and staring me.
(He swim away when I get closer. but I tried that quietly and carefully several times, then finally he allowed me to get closer.)
Generally, people doesn't like these creatures. But if you observe them, you might realize they are beautiful and friendly more than you think.
I would be happy if this blog becomes the chance for you communicate with insects.
By the way, my granpa (85 years old) told me there were a lot of eels in a creek when he was child. Therefore children went fishing eels with sickle at night. (But I don't know how they caught eels with sickle.)
I wish I could have seen it.
先週機械で田植えをした隙間に、残っていた苗を手で植えました。
手で植えたところを後から見たら真っ直ぐ植えることができておらず、ガッタガタでした。笑
畔を歩くだけでもそうですが、田んぼに入るとさまざまな生き物がいることに気づかされます。
草刈りをしていると、ミツバチが「なにやってるの？」とでも言うように
近くに何度も飛んできて確認していきます。
田んぼの排水口が詰まらないように掃除をしていると、トノサマガエルが水面から顔をだしてこちらを見ていたり。（近づくと逃げてしまうのですが、顔を出すたびに近づくのを続けると「なんにもしてこなさそうだしいいか」と言う感じで、近くで写真を撮らせてくれました。）
水の中では、ゲンゴロウの仲間がせわしく泳いでいたり、スルスル〜とヒルが泳いで行ったり。
一般的には好きな人が少なそうな虫やカエルたちですが、観察してみると美しく、思っているよりフレンドリーなんだと感じます。
こうしていろいろな生き物を見つけて、観察し、なんて名前の虫なのか、どうやって暮らしているのか家に帰ってから調べるのが最近の楽しみです。
気持ち悪い！と向き合うのをやめて、排除してしまうのはあまりにももったいないと思います。

祖父（８５歳）の話によると、昔は小さな小川にもうなぎがたくさんいて、
夜になると子供たちだけで鎌をもってうなぎを捕まえていたそうです。（鎌でどうやってうなぎをつかまえたのかは謎です。）
小川にうなぎがたくさんいるようすを、わたしも見てみたかったなあといつも思います。
