“The River of Stars Part 10”
I created this cut paper art, drew the background, and translated the story. I like to use feathers which I found in Canada. In the story, the old man is surrounded by the wolf’s soft fur. I used feathers as the wolf’s fur for the cut paper art. For the background, this is a painting and paper collage. I love collage because I can express the different types of textures especially when I create nature art.
In this scene, finally, the old man woke up. The wolf is taking care of the old man. This is a very interesting part of this story. Probably the wolf’s pups just ate the rainbow trout and the old man who was in the rainbow trout survived. Wolves are very gentle animals so, they decided to cure the injured old man. This scene is very warm and safe.
“星の川 パート１０”
切り絵を作り、背景を描いて翻訳をしました。物語の中では、狼のやわらかい毛が年老いた男を包み込む様子が出てきます。カナダで見つけた鳥の羽を狼の毛に見立てました。背景画はコラージュで、アクリル絵の具とちぎり絵を用いました。
これは年老いた男がやっと目を覚ますシーンです。狼たちが年老いた男を解放しています。この物語の中でも興味深いシーンです。おそらく狼の子どもたちはニジマスだけを食べたのでしょう。ニジマスの中にいたこの年老いた男は助かったようです。狼は心優しい動物ですので、この傷だらけの年老いた男を解放したのです。とても暖かく平和なシーンです。
