Hello fellow Nigerians. I am happy to be back this week for the weekly prompt. The topic also is very interesting and I said to myself, I sure will participate in this week contest.
Talking about daily routine, as humans we sure do have many things we do on daily basis: ranging from eating, bathing, laughing walking from one place to the other. All of these and lots more are the routings we carry out every day. But as an African woman, I do want to share something that we hold with great honour, which is cooking. Cooking gives me joy and I love doing it as my daily routine. Cooking daily for my family also helps me to make sure that every one at home is healthy.
MY DAILY ROUTINE
As Africans, cooking and making sure that the family eats well is the daily business of the mother. Others may come in once in a while to help, but the mother knows that it is her work and she also tries to raise her girls with the same mindset of making sure that they cook for the family when they eventually get married. This is a hubby for me and I enjoy doing it for the sake of my house hold. The grace to do it has been given to any lady. Others may not care , but a lady sees it as her responsibility. It doesn't matter how had it is sometimes to cook, the pains we go through in the kitchen does not stop us from cooking the following day. For me, any day I don't cook, i feel like something is not right. Even when someone is helping me do the cooking, i still walk around the kitchen to help in anyway that I can.
WE NEED TO APPRECIATE ANYONE THAT COOKS:
To cook is not an easy job. Some may not see it as a big job, so they take it for granted. Some men don't get to appreciate their wives after she has taken enough time to make food for the family. They will even become angry if she does not finish in time. This attitude is not encouraging at all. Every lady that takes her time to cook should be appreciated. Sometimes the person cooking may even sustain injury all in the name of cooking.
