Adjusting to hive was a breeze for me to be honest. I had already been familiar with the blockchain because virtually everything was the same with Steem. Life was made further easier with the fact that most of the dapps and people migrated to hive as well, so life was good.
unDEXterous
With that said, I had some problems with the platforms that were largely due to my nonchalance in these situations. One of my major challenges was using the DEX. Back then we had only Steem-engine, and everything about it stressed me out. As I said though, it was because I didn't just calm down to learn everything. My major challenge was making actual trades using the DEX.
In fact, initially, I didn't even know what the DEX was meant for and so, it was totally alien to me. I went there once in a while when I read a post that mentions it but nothing made sense. Obviously, there was nothing wrong with the DEX and it had more to do with my impatience.
So even when we moved over to Hive, I still had no clue what that place was meant for. Leo even created their own cooler DEX and it still didn't make any sense. All that changed when I started playing Splinterlands and wanted to buy DEC with Hive. I had to calmly explore the platform and eventually got a hang of it.
Hivesigner
Out of all the ways to log in to applications, Hive signer is my least favourite. I find the entire process of importing my account and then creating an account to be too tedious. Compare that to Hive keychain where you just input your details and bob's your uncle.
Hivesigner has one limitation that you may or may not have experienced, depending on how much you've been on the platform. Now, remember that all our permission and shit were moved over from Steem to Hive, so after using the dapp to grant permission for a couple of Hive Dapps in the new chain, I had exhausted my signer capacity. So every time I tried to add a new Dapp to my Hive signer or schedule a post using peakd, it gave me one annoying error message.
Solving this problem was pretty simple; I had to go into my hivesigner settings and removed permissions from some of the dud dapps formerly linked with Steem that were still in the way.
Semi Smooth Sailing
Other than these two, I don't think I've had any real issue with using the platform as a whole. However, at a glance, I struggled with understanding games like dcity, and rising star. Whenever I'm ready for them two, I'll look into it. What about you though? Are there any issues you've had?
