Lil Wayne was asked on mainstream media platforms about the blacklivesmatter movement and he said that he didn't care about that and he only cared about his gang bangers.
The public came after him attacking him for not supporting the movement. He later came back to apologize for his statements and opinions about the BLM movement. He, however, said nothing about his support for gang banging and here lies the problem...
Among the races in America homicide is the highest cause of death amongst black people. Black men between the age of 15 to 35 die more from gun-related violence than any other race in America. But yet Lil Wayne will say he only cares about his gang bangers and get away with saying it without taking responsibility for the fact that these gangs are causing death to black people. When it comes to black on black crime apparently black people cannot help themselves. All of a sudden they are less than human. They can't help but be products of the system.
How long will we continue with this narrative? We refuse to hold people accountable for their misbehaviour because that narrative doesn't fit in well with the mainstream narrative. Basically, because the idea no dey sell.
Let me draw this home so it's not like I'm talking to myself.
I saw two pictures yesterday.
Fool
Misogyny
Picture 1 and 2
Where do I start? How about the fact that no man in the history of social media has dragged out his mother as a fool. Not even the mother's who have cheated, not even the ones who have left their father in his worse moment, not even the ones who are alcoholic, not even the ones who are irresponsible spenders. I have never seen it happen before. But here is this foolish girl (who can't speak English) that wants the world to see her as a victim attacking her father. Yes from the story her father was insecure, but that's the story she got when she was a child.
Also, why isn't her mother foolish for letting herself fall for a man like that. What, women can't help who they end up with?
NONSENSE!!!!
Picture 3
Before anyone comes at me and says this whole story is a joke. This shit happens every day. But women have halos over their heads and men have horns for some reason. The worse example of men is brought out and made to seem like it's the way all men are.
So just miss me with all this nonsense okay, please.
Ying Yang picture
That is the point where bad and good lies and men and women are in equal abundance of it and that is why society has not split up into strictly female and strictly male societies.
It's just not appealing to see a woman being attacked for bad behaviour but that's all there is.
This by the way is not an anti-feminist post, it's anti-sexist. We all need to do better.
