Hi Hive Naija people, the contest for this week is about your creative process. So I'm picturing who would actually be interested in reading this.
Maybe a newbie, maybe someone who noticed my amazing work ethic🤔? Whoever it is, I am writing this with you in mind while cooking macaroni and sauce...so occasionally I have to stop thinking about food while I write. So if you see an occasion random "pepper" in the work... it's for the sauce...not you.
Ultimately I am writing this post because I feel genuinely I have some things that anybody can learn from.
My day
I work from 8 am till 4 pm in the hospital and occasionally I have to give drugs and attend to patients in the evenings and early morning hours. But so far I have not missed posting daily for more than 2 months. In fact, most days I post twice.
I do it because besides the fact that post every day keeps me in people's faces and advertises me for me...but it also sharpens my writing ability.
Morning rituals
I kill 2 goats and use their scrotal sack content to sprinkle on my laptop keys by 12 pm and I chew cockroaches while writing a post...always works
Ok, I am joking about the cockroaches...but those goat balls..you got to have them.
It takes a stubborn goat to wake up by 4 am, do graphic designs till 5, read posts till 5:30, make a post before 6 and go workout from 6 to 6:30...
Well, not a stubborn goat...a robot...that is why I have never met up with the time...but that is my goal. My reading post time always enters into my wring post time which enters into my workout time and them goes round the next morning to affect my graphic design time.
But I keep showing up...that's what matters. Even when I make 0.002 on a post. I tell myself that I'm going to do it again tomorrow whether I like it or not.
I've formed a habit of a habit of habit you damn rabbit!!
What people like
You most have heard the saying,
"I don't like what I hate."
I've noticed that people are like that in general. But how do you know what people like if you don't read their stuff? Also, you know what you like about what they wrote by trying to comment.
By regularly leaving comments, you are learning to write what people like reading gradually.
Also, you are making friends who are learning what you like to read too... it's a fun cycle.
You must have heard the saying,
"Wahala be like fun cycle"
Sorry...I hope my word count is that perfect light that keeps it informative and likable.
