Last week in my bid to be voted most sociable male in this area, I decided to be meeting new people. So far I've taken close to 15 numbers of random people. If you are one of them, I hail.
I met some Pastor dude who was a doctor. He attended a church that I felt in my lack of better judgement might have been too harsh to.
So he invited me to the church and had a car pick me up. Yoo Ladies, I finally understand, ih go well.
I got to the church, it had this Modern style of gift wrapping (cause a church is a gift to the society), you know the ones I'm talking about. A tent-like building, then inside it at the front a huge screen.
This was the second pandemic service— there weren't that many people in attendance. I sat at the innermost roll at the 4th line of seats so if I'd be caught by the spirit and I start to manifest it will be easy to carry me to the front.
Going to church felt like a bad idea, to say the truth. It turned out to be a bad idea.
The preacher started, “Someone in this church has pains all over their body, I don't know what the devils, the doctors told you but you are healed.”
I immediately got from let's see whats going on in here to oh shit it's raining.
Now I'm 10 minutes into mamas preaching. I mentioned it was the second service. So basically it was just a rerun of the first service. Mama dey there dey feel her own preaching the way rappers dey feel themselves from studio.
Then to crown it all she said some story about 3 girls that were place on house arrest by a king. She said, “they were imprisoned, in fact, they were placed on quarantine.”
Spirit walked out the door at this point.
Then I started writing a poem is goes as such:
Roses are red,
This pastor wants someone dead.
Long story short, if the pastor sees me now he'll ask me why the number isn't going through.
And I'll smile and say I don't know and promise to come next week.
Reason being the alternative would be
“Ah, brother will you come to church next week?”
“No oh.”
“Why na?”
“I didn't enjoy the service”
“Ah brother church is not for enjoyment na, it is for fellowship.”
OOOOOOOOR
“Why na”
“I enjoyed the service so much it was hard for me to fellowship.”
“Brother you are in the spirit, come again you will meet new brethren to fellowship with.”
Fuck out of here.
Pastors and Politicians in this country will gather plenty of people together and start promising them things.
I see no difference between these public speakers.
The same use of English and similar 0's in their account.
They lead people in the same direction.
They'll engage your imagination.
If you're not so imaginative you can't be seduced.
So first things first, they'll disconnect you from reality.
Then they'll start talking and talking and talking.
The further you are from reality the better.
