I greet una lacuna lacuna this morning,
I wan use this opportunity challenge all my fellow Nigerian Youths to stand to our feet and fight and not to be dependant of our politicians.
I want to introduce to you my soul brother and friend who has stood up to the challenge, and i want us to be challenged and join the trend .
Our politicians will always call us leaders of Tomorrow, but the question is "when are we going to be given opportunity to lead our country Nigeria".
Immediately they taste power they will turned it family affairs thereby using youths for their campaign rallies during their electioneering periods.
My name is Ekemini David, a Young Nigerian civil rights activist and teacher from Eket, Akwa Ibom state.
I'm an aspirant of the YOUNG PROGRESSIVE PARTY in the 2020 local government elections in Eket, for the chairmanship sit.
I got inspired to contest as a result of prevailing problems that have long lasted over times in my society and as a result of the zero response level of power to these problems.
A few of such issues are the poor infrastructural state, poor education quality for basic school children, poorenvironmental and sanitary attention and public accountability of resources gotten as a people.
These have been the basics of the problems we are faced with in Eket.
I am very Particular about reviving the ordinary place of the grassroot government which is to serve as a tap link between the people and the two other levels of government.
Basic education advancement is a major priority, we will be dedicated towards ensuring deliberate supervision of educational contents, regulation of learning processes and man power, and causing an enabling environment for better learning. Our children deserve the best of quality education not minding their status.
Community development (repairs, construction and maintainance of rural and grassroot roads, advancement and full improvement of our local market..for our mothers and women. ) for safe movement of our people and of course ensuring grassroot environmental sanitation policy, for better and safer existence.
Eket is also an afro based land, we produce palm oil too, and also have enough timber.
We will use these two areas to create sustainable employment for our rural empowerment scheme to alleviate poverty and idleness amongst young people and men.
We will raise a palm oil producing factory, where we get local farmers to harvest their plams, sell to us, while they make money we pay others to process it and we get them paid, while we brnad and sell it out and the government makes money as well... The same thing with timber...
We earn serious allocation as a local government, we will through dogged engagement with government at different levels ensure that we get our allocation directly, while we strictly invest yearly in granting higher school scholarships to encourage our young ones and payments of bursary...
So far, we've been able to get a campaign office for our party and campaign formal gatherings and strategies, we are still calling out on young Nigerians to join the train.
We are hoping that we get due funds to help progress duly..
Thanks and I solicit for duly support.
