I’m someone who really loves to travel a lot. I love exploring places with nice tourist attractions I’ve never been to. So for this post I’d pick three countries/cities out of the many I’ve not been too😅.
1) Santorini, Greece
Why? What makes it so special?
First of all, this island- Santorini is a natural wonder of the world. The famous volcano which it is known for is what shaped the island. From its natural beauty to the breathtaking views to the volcanic beaches and amazing landscapes are all beautiful results of the volcano eruption.
It’s really a sight to behold. Some of the tourist attractions include;
- Fira; This is the capital of Santorini. You can see whitewashed cubic houses, blue domed churches, candy colored houses and paths, amazing nightlife etc.
- Oia; This is known for its famous sunsets. This village is known for the best sunset in the world! It’s known to have whitewashed houses and “infinity pools”.
- Caldera; This was formed by volcanic explosions that blew its center out. “Caldera” is the sea filled volcanic crater that was left after the explosion.
Other tourist attractions include; The Red Beach, museums, castles, Archeological sites of ‘Akrotiri’ and ‘Ancient Thera’. Santorini is also known for their wine making and tasty dishes, I’d like to have a taste 😋.
2) Paris, France
Ahhhh, Paris. The city of Love!😇. Paris is the capital of France, it is also known as the Latin Quarter.
Why? What makes it so special?
Well I’ve always dreamed of going there. I would love to go there with a partner since it’s the city of love but even if I don’t have one yet I could still go. Who knows? I might meet someone there, after all it’s the city of Love.
There are amazing sight seeing areas in Paris;
- The Eiffel Tower; if this doesn’t symbolize ‘Paris’ I don’t know what else does. If possible I’d like to go to the highest level of the tower, with that I can see the whole city.
- Louvre Museum; This is the worlds most visited museum. This Muesum has a lot to offer like; The 1st Arrondissement (a.k.a ‘Royal Paris’), The Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, famous Greek statues, an Egyptian collection with mummies etc.
- Versailles Palace; This palace has over 600 rooms, it’s one of the largest ones in the world. It gives the tourists a view or idea of the royal life.
Other tourist attractions include;
- Notre Dame Cathedral; it was built during the Middle Ages.
- Montmartre and Sacré Coeur
- Musée d’Orsay
- Arc de Triomphe
- Pompidou Center
- Luxembourg Garden etc
Their amazing food, restaurants and wines are a must have 😇. My love for Paris grew after I watched one of my favorite series”Emily in Paris”.
3) Maldives
Also known as Maldives Island, located in the North central Indian Ocean.
Why? What makes it so special?
Asides for my love of tourism and travel fueling this. I’ve always wanted to go to Maldives for either a vacation with friends or a “Baecation”. From all the pictures I’ve seen, it’s a beautiful place to go to.
Some of the tourist attractions;
- Malé Atoll; It used to be an abode/home for the Royal Dynasties but now known as the Kings Island.
- Banana Reef; Known for their amazing diving experience. The reef is actually shaped like a banana.
- Utheemu Ganduvaru; This is a wooden palace. It’s a small island that looks like a green jellyfish. It holds great historical values.
Asides these and many other tourist attractions, there are a plethora of activities I’d like to engage in during my visit like; visiting the National Art Gallery, Whale and Dolphin watching, staying in an overwater bungalow and diving etc.
