In response to the contest by naija pidgin, I wan share one obunge story about my maths teacher back then for school.
Story
Back then for secondary school I no know which kind magic I dey take pass mathematics. All wey I dey remember say I dey write and even score highest score but walahi if you ask me wetin I do, I no fit tell you. E continue this way until my parent come transfer me go one science school wamba for Nasarawa state then for SS 2 second term. The first lesson wey I jam the next Monday morning na the mathematics and say e wan write test. I do my mathematics magic and luckily e still help me, sete the man come announce me, unknowing to me say na the last time wey that trick go work be that.
I no really know weda na the number of people wey the man slap that day comot that magic abi na the expire date reach, fear begin catch me. The man name na Mr Abayomi. The man tall, huge, fair and like to dey speak pho'ne. Everybody for that school dey fear that man , later , later me come join fear the man. E Sabi teach but be say my head block, we dey only look am ne, dey hope make e do teach comot because him presence sef na war.
Despite my carefulness, I fall inside him trap twice. The first na one faithful morning, e dey class dey teach. As usual we dey look but our attention no dey there. Sete the man comot for board side wan come pass my side go slap somebody I no even noticed. E say make I comot my leg make e pass, I no even hear am because my attention no dey class, the next thing wey I hear na one resounding slap wey shift me from the end of that chair enter middle. The slap be like bomb for my face but as per girls dey, I just bone my face like say nothing happen.
The other time na when I refuse go Maths class, we dey in group sit-down for hostel dey sleep. The man come catch us, I chop frog jump tire that day. As you go don guess, na zero I dey score for Maths, Dem no need annouce am, we know our fate, but for other subjects na lord I be, until Ss3 second term wey I come dey stay on top mango tree anytime we get maths to learn maths on my own , na that time I come get the Inamus and intuto about Maths. Reach Today, maths just be like children play for me and I dey solve am dey know wetin i dey do unlike before.
