My fellow hivers! Hello!
The topic of discussion "what are you most proud of?". When I saw this topic, I turned off my data for a while to think about that one thing I am proud of. Could it be an award? A degree? A property? A promotion?
My life so far had been looking like I haven't made much progress, it's not like I landed a huge contract, or got a 6digit paying job, or a visa, or got certified; you know all those big news we read on social media, especially on LinkedIn. The question now is, does this mean I haven'tn't done anything worthwhile?
Well, that's not true.
I am proud of me, proud of the progress I am making, because I am growing everyday, and I know I am not the way I used to be. Proud that I am making progress in my career, I am carefully building a career path in Human Resource & Administration, now i have 2years plus working experience.
I am proud of myself because I haven't compromised, I've had opportunities to compromise my belief and values, juicy offers from different men, but no, I stayed focused because I believe so much in my future.
I used to feel like I am not making progress but the truth is, I am, come on! I'm making progress.
I have learned more this year than I have ever! I have read more, I have grown mentally, emotionally, financially than I have ever, in my whole life.
I'm proud of my emotional and mental health, I used to deal with depression and low self esteem, I lacked emotional intelligence, but now, I am better! To think I used to get angry easily but not anymore, is so amazing to me. I can control my emotions, realize my wrongs, and apologize immediately.
So to answer the question "what am I proud of" I'll say I'm proud of me - Esther, a young lady who is hardworking, diligent, resilient, moral, who makes mistakes but ensures her mistakes doesn't define her. I am proud of me and my little progress!
