Earlier today I was having a conversation with a friend who jokingly told me how cool it would be if I willed him access to my assets in case I died mysteriously. I really don't have that many assets in dollars, but converted to naira I'm doing pretty well with myself.
Well, that conversation got me thinking about 2 of the most important people in my life and I decided to make my submission for this week's contest.
My Favourite Humans
My favourite Nigerians on Hive happen to be two of my favourite humans on earth. My older brothers and
. I appreciate them as often as I can but it never feels enough. They do so much for me that appreciation feels too little for them. They now own 2 of my internal organs.
My brother, Ebingo is the reason I got on Steemit 4 years ago and my other brother, Belemo is the reason I stayed. With the help of these two, their constant motivation, push and assistance I've been able to achieve a lot more than they did when they were my age and they're always proud of me for it.
I've written a lot of times about how Ebingo got me a box of cupcakes to propose Steemit to me. He was also the one who helped me make my first withdrawal here. I earned a current equivalent of $22. It was an awesome experience because, at the time, that was the first time I was earning such an amount on my own.
Right after that, my activities went downhill. Behind the scene, I had my brothers pushing me to continue and I kept being stubborn.
Well, I've told this story a lot of times and it all boils down to how awesome those two are. Belemo has been the mastermind behind a lot of investment decisions I've made that have helped my portfolio to what it is.
I've always lacked the patience to read and understand a lot of things that go on here. For a while, I keep up, but then after some time I lose track of what's going on and that's where Belemo comes in.
I always tell this joke that when I make my first million in Naira my brothers would be the first to know and they would have to break it to me slowly. A few weeks ago, that happened.
As much as I try to keep track of my portfolio, I hardly know what's where so I just leave that to Belemo. He usually checks up on my accounts and tells me what he feels might be a good decision and then we discuss my plans and I go for what seems like the best possible option.
What I've learnt from my brother is that "there's no right or wrong decision, there's only your decision". He tells me this whenever I ask him if a plan I have makes sense. It feels like tough love sometimes, but I know he has my back every time.
Ebingo might not exactly be the investment guru but he always has the craziest ideas that work. Sometimes. He also introduced me to who happens to be the mind behind some other decisions I make.
Bhosa happens to be our grandfather in the crypto industry. While Belemo is my daddy, Bhosa was the mind that brought all of us on board. He's still my adviser on many issues.
Bhosa also happens to be my ideas guy. All I have to do is tell him what I have in mind and he expands on it and makes it have more sense.
also has to be mentioned coz she's a babe and my new big sis. She's married to my favourite person so she's a favourite as well.
