Hi everyone! This is my first try at the Open Mic. This is a version of Oscar Peterson's Hymn To Freedom which I think suits the theme.
Hymn To Freedom is from the iconic jazz album Night Train, and while Peterson's version is more bluesy, I here play it very softly and subtly.
Oscar Peterson is one of the first jazz pianists I was introduced to and actually, one of the first-ever CDs I bought was with his trio (nerd). I later departed from listening that much to him, but he's still a master of rhythm and is one of the most recognizable jazz pianists out there.
Anyway, I hope you listen and enjoy - I hope I did everything right according to the rules.
