Hello everyone, welcome to Hive Open Mic Week 222 My username is samuel, and my user name is ,
This week,, our community's most recent Spotlight Artist, has chosen "Peace" as our theme this week.
I hope everyone is doing well, and I'm happy to be here this week.
I'm going to be doing a cover of Michael Jackson's song Earth Song.
Earth Song" is a song by the American singer Michael Jackson. It was written by Jackson and produced by Jackson, David Foster and Bill Bottrell. It was released by Epic Records on November 7, 1995, as the third single from Jackson's ninth studio album, HIStory
The lyrics of this song are quite meaningful, which is why I chose it.
The song expresses concern for the environment and the harm that has been done to our planet by war, environmental degradation, and disregard for human life.
There was no "great singer, songwriter, dancer, and entertainer" like Michael Jackson.
One of the all-time favorites was Michael Jackson. Michael was a kind, gentle, loving, and caring person. Michael donated thousands of dollars to hospitals treating ailing youngsters.
The song is about "We," which refers to all of us; we are accountable to one another and we are unable to rely on anyone or anything else to improve the world.
"We" need to quit acting as though we don't know and instead begin lending, loving, and caring for one another.
We are all stewards of our brothers. The lesson still holds true today.
song lyrics
What about sunrise?
What about rain?
What about all the things
That you said we were to gain?
What about killing fields?
Is there a time?
What about all the things
That you said was yours and mine?
Did you ever stop to notice
All the blood we've shed before?
Did you ever stop to notice
This crying Earth, this weeping shore?
Ah, ooh
Ah, ooh
What have we done to the world?
Look what we've done
What about all the peace
That you pledge your only son?
What about flowering fields?
Is there a time?
What about all the dreams
That you said was yours and mine?
Did you ever stop to notice
All the children dead from war?
Did you ever stop to notice
This crying Earth, this weeping shore?
Ah, ooh
Ah, ooh
Thank you very much for listening; I sincerely hope you enjoy the music.
