En esta semana 301 el tema es Someone To Love y, desde lo más profundo de mi sinceridad, tuve una semana muy estancada en inspiración.
Recientemente me acordé de una pieza muy linda de Lewis Capaldi, Someone You Loved. Habla de ese alguien que amas pero en tiempo pasado, de la herida que deja un amor que ya no está y del dolor que queda después de compartir la vida con esa persona.
Muchos están buscando a alguien para amar, otros están amando, y otros están perdiendo de vista qué es realmente el amor y cómo acercarse a él.
En el caso de esta canción, tanto la música como la letra son perfectamente concordantes; una depende de la otra. Honestamente quise grabarla cantando, pero como saben, mi inglés no es el mejor y ahora mismo mi memoria está ocupada con todo lo que debo aprender en la universidad.
Esta pieza tiene una particularidad muy bonita para mí: me recuerda a una persona que amé y amo inmensamente. Uno de mis mejores amigos me mostró esta canción por primera vez, abriéndome su corazón y mostrándome lo frágil que estaba.
Desde ese momento la atesoré como un gesto de intimidad y confidencialidad entre él y yo. Hoy en día cada uno hizo su vida en distintos países, pero la amistad sigue intacta.
A veces nos enfocamos en buscar a alguien para amar en un contexto romántico y no vemos cómo amar a quienes ya nos aman: amistades, familiares, etc.
En esta ocasión hice un cover a dos violines: el primero muy parecido a la voz del cantante original, y el segundo más sincopado, siguiendo la melodía que más resonaba en mí en este momento.

This week 301 the theme is Someone To Love, and from the deepest part of my honesty, I had a week completely stuck in terms of inspiration.
Recently I remembered a very beautiful piece by Lewis Capaldi, Someone You Loved. It speaks about someone you love, but in the past tense — the wound left by a love that is no longer there, and the pain that remains after sharing life with that person.
Many people are looking for someone to love, others are loving, and others are constantly losing perspective of what love truly is and how to approach it.
In this song, both the music and the lyrics are perfectly aligned; one depends on the other. I honestly wanted to record it singing, but as you know, my English is not the best, and right now my memory is very occupied with everything I must learn and memorize at the university.
This piece has a very special meaning for me: it reminds me of someone I loved and still love deeply. One of my best friends showed me this song for the first time, opening his heart and showing me how fragile he was at that moment.
Since then, I treasured it as a gesture of intimacy and confidentiality between him and me. Today, each of us lives in different countries, but the friendship remains intact.
Sometimes we focus on finding someone to love in a romantic sense, and we forget how to love those who already love us — our friends, our family, and so on.
For this week, I made a two-violin cover: the first one very similar to the original singer’s vocal line, and the second one more syncopated, following the melody that resonated with me the most at this moment.
