ALFONSINA Y EL MAR. Esta canción es una verdadera historia compuesta por el músico-escritor Ariel Ramirez, basada en el suicidio de la escritora Argentina Alfonsina Storni. Quien decidió quitarse la vida hundiéndose en el mar para dar fin a su enfermedad. Es una letra tan dolorosa que el autor la detalla paso a paso con la fantasía mágica del mar, desde su orilla hasta lo que va pasando hasta el fondo del mar. Es impresionante la metáfora usada tanto de los animales, algas, perlas y coloridos que cerrando los ojos uno se los va imaginando, pero al mismo tiempo se me eriza la piel con tan profunda e inigualable letra, hasta en la estrofa donde ella pide que le bajen la luz de la lámpara, es porque ya llegaba su final, donde se supone que quedó dormida. Espeluznante final. Por eso siempre han dicho que es una letra desgarradora. Este tema fue escrito y por primera vez grabado por la cantante Mercedes Sosa, escogida por él para interpretar tan sublime y delicada obra. A mi me gusta interpretarla porque desde pequeño se la oía cantar a mi madre, quien le gustaba oir también a Jesús Sevillano, otro de los buenos intérpretes de esta bella leyenda.
