This song was made in a politcal time very complex, where Africa was in a developing face democracy wise, facing post colonialism, Rodhesia was a divided country and got united with the name of Zimbabwe, Bob Marley made a song about people coming together, and try to translate it metaphorically this moment in Africa, to all of his audience. Cultura Profetica took this song and translate it literally to spanish, and gave it another sense too, talking about unity, but focusing the message in the union of Puerto Rico, and boricuas. So this song has a range, i feel that we are blessed having this kind of songs to put things in perspective, and understand in a mature way the need of having a good attitude towards life in community.
