Hello guys, how are you doing. I am glad as always to be back here again. I was not able to make it to the platform last week although i wanted to, but for some unforseen circumstances, I had to leave out last weeks presentation. My regard to you all who have been seeing to it that the community keeps growing. great work!
The theme of this week is spring bloom. It makes me think about the importance of seasons in ourlives. But i am not going to talk about spring, instead i will talk about another season that we are currently going through now. it is the season of lent. It is basically a time to remember the death and suffering and ressurection of our lord Jesus. But most importantly, it is a season where we have to learn and unlearn. A season to learn self discipline and how to love our neigbours and make the world a better place. A time to unlearn lack of control and hatred.
So today, in response to the theme of the week, I choose to perform a beautiful song that is normaly sung during lenten seasons. The title of the song is, "oh ye who seek a comfort sure". I interpreted it with my beautiful acoustic guitar and i hope you enjoy it!
Please tell me in the comment session what you think about my performance. that way i can keep improving.
SONG LYRICS
1 All you who seek a comfort sure
In sadness and distress,
Whatever sorrow burdens you,
Whatever griefs oppress:
When Jesus gave himself for us
And died upon the tree,
His heart was pierced for love of us;
He died to set us free.
2 Now hear him as he speaks to us
Those words for ever blest:
"All you who labor, come to me,
And I will give you rest."
O heart adored by saints on high,
And hope of sinners here,
We place our ev'ry trust in you
And lift to you our prayer.
