" MY GIFT TO MOM "
Hello everyone, this is Nicole! First and foremost, please allow me to express my heartfelt and sincere gratitude to all the pillars behind this prestigious community namely the owner, the administrators, and moderators who tenaciously work hard in making this cyber space unstoppably radiant. It's an honor to be here. And with utmost respect, I will do my best to exemplify the responsibilities of a true blue Hive Open Mic member. Kudos to all the rhythms and melody to a harmonious community by heart!
It's another week and I welcome you all to 266 for the theme "My Gift To Mom." The world has just celebrated Mother's Day and our community extended the gift giving to our moms. Mothers will always remain special. They must be celebrated every day. And they deserve everything the world could offer. Thus, in our community we can specifically offer them a song with a heart melting message. This time I am going to share with you the song "I Will" by David Foster & Chris Kirkpatrick as my offering to her.
Mothers don't have superpowers and will eventually lose their strength, beauty, and vibrance with the passing of time. Currently, I am in the season of attending to the needs of my ailing mom. She loses her mobility due to a lot of muscle and bone issues in medical terms I couldn't somehow memorize. She needs someone as her arms and legs to do things for her. Watching her being like that in her sunset days pains me a lot. Constant visit to several doctors and doing therapies each week are undeniably stressful. In a situation like this no one must grumble in spite of exhausting all the energy we have. It's payback time. To be honest, I tend to be impatient sometimes but has to maintain composure even if she complains to mostly of this and that. I believe she must have been feeling a lot of discomfort, so one must elongate patience and deepen the compassion. To you mom, the word "I Will" is my daily word to you. It's the best gift I could offer after all the wonderful years you've given me in your sunny days. It is my ardent prayer that you will still see the better days ahead and keep a happy state of heart. Life is too short to be grumpy. It's awesome to be a good example to the young!
I hope you guys will like this song and enjoy the lyrics below. Love and light to you all!
"I Will" (By David Foster & Chris Kirkpatrick)
When life seems hopeless and you're all alone
And no one is there to dry the teardrops from your eyes
When you can't find a single reason left to try
Baby, I will (baby, I will)
Baby, I will...
Tell me the secrets that you've locked away
Confide your deepest fears that haunts you everyday
All of the little things nobody else could understand
Baby, I will (baby, I will)
I will...
It's alright...
I'll be there...
Count on me...
Anytime, anywhere...
I'll show you love...
'Til the end of my life...
When no one else will stand by your side
I will...
[Verse 2: Chris Kirkpatrick]
When all you've counted on comes tumbling down
And there's only emptiness that nothing seems to fill
And when you can't remember how to be strong
Baby, I will (baby, I will)
I will...
[Chorus: Chris Kirkpatrick with David Foster]
It's alright...
I'll be there...
Count on me...
Anytime, anywhere...
I'll show you love...
'Til the end of my life...
When no one else will stand by your side
I will...
[Guitar Break]
[Reprise: Chris Kirkpatrick with David Foster]
When no one else will stand by your side
I will...
[Chorus: Chris Kirkpatrick with David Foster]
It's alright...
I'll be there...
Count on me...
Anytime, anywhere... (anywhere...)
I'll show you love... (I'll show you love)
'Til the end of my life...
When no one else will stand by your side
[Outro: Chris Kirkpatrick]
I'll be standing right by your side
I will...
Thank you everyone for all the undying support you've given me all this time. I hope to see you again next week for our new theme. I wish you a great time going around Hive this very moment!
