NOTE: Due to failures in the 3speak platform I had to upload my participation on youtube.
Imágen original extraída de la publicación del concursogreetingscommunity. I want to start this post thanking deeply to the people who have supported the musical work that I have been developing in this wonderful platform. As I always comment, I met hive through my eldest son and the truth is that I have loved the vision they have about the value that creativity can have. It is quite curious because something like this was unthinkable in the past, besides this musical community is full of people with an incredible talent that is worth seeing and supporting, I learn from these users and I'm more or less taking notes of what they do, I know I can still improve a lot and little by little I will be working on it. For the time being I will continue sharing my musical pieces with the possibilities I have.
week's theme is about "Creativity and free style" well, the truth is that I am not bringing you an improvisation or a theme of my own, but soon I am committed to take that step and what better place would be Hive for that scoop. I must emphasize that creativity is a very necessary condition in music, without it we would never enjoy great pieces and musical works made in the past and made today.
¡Saludos!
Today I will share a Venezuelan music song called "Constancia de un pescador" this beautiful song that talks about how a fisherman gets fed up with his noble job in fishing, because he can't make a living, it was popularized by Cecilia Todd but the author is Pedro Palmar. I hope you like it, greetings!
Desde mis primeros años
Mi oficio remendar paños
Mi hobbie la poesía
Las décimas mi alegría
Me hicieron aborrecer
El trabajo de tener
Que pescar en un cayuco
Sin comida ni guayuco
Ni agua dulce que beber
De la pesca decidí
No volver a remendar
Por no tener que pasar
La vida pescando así
El cayuco lo vendí
Lo demás lo dejé fiado
Y el coton que había usado
Tanto tiempo de guayuco
Lo dejé de un cemeruco
Dondé salaba pescao
Entonces por intuición
Decidí dejarlo todo
Y buscarle de otro modo
A lo mío solución
La pesca que fue patrón
De mi juventud primera
No me animaba siquiera
Porque la situación mía
Era mantenerme al día
Con el trabajo que fuera
Me aljé de la enramada
Dejando el timón atrás
La totuma y el compas
De mi juventud pasada
La playa que fue celada
Por mi también la dejé
Porque yo consideré
Que ya de la pesquería
Sanamente no podría
Vivir y la abandoné
LYRICS
I lived from fishing
From my earliest years
My trade mending cloths
My hobby poetry
The tenths my joy
They made me loathe
The work of having
To fish in a cayuco
Without food or guayuco
Nor fresh water to drink
From fishing I decided
Not to mend again
For not having to spend
my life fishing like this
I sold the cayuco
The rest I left on trust
And the coton I had used
So long as a guayuco
I left it from a cemeruco
Dondé salaba pescao
Then by intuition
I decided to leave it all behind
And look for another way
To my own solution
The fishing that was the pattern
Of my first youth
I was not even encouraged
Because my situation
Was to keep up
With whatever work I could do
I left the bower behind
Leaving the rudder behind
The totuma and the compas
Of my bygone youth
The beach that was guarded
For me too I left it
Because I considered
That from the fishery
I could no longer
To live and I abandoned it
