La temática de la semana es A good friend y comienzo agradeciendo a mi buen amigo 
Hablando un poco sobre el tema, nuestras dos almas de Félix Mejías, podemos hablar de dos amigos que son como hermanos o de una pareja, podemos hablar de lo que pueda representar para nosotros esa frase y más íntimamente relacionada con “A good friend”. Para mí este tema es para una buena amiga, la representa muy bien, una amiga que llegó a ser más que eso, mi novia. En el tema escucho a dos personas, escucho la calma y una parte estruendosa que termina cediendo ante la paz que es el amor, la culminación de la frase que decae cual pelea después de un abrazo.
Para mí somos ella y yo representando quizá un día no tan bueno, pero al final estando juntos. Vamos lento, luego rápido, quizá peleamos y nos contentamos pero somos dos almas gemelas que se llenan de alegría al verse y que al final no pueden dejar de estar juntas, que llegan como uno solo al final.
¿Qué más podría decirles de las almas gemelas? Es como ser una luna, siempre estás ahí pero si no te ilumina el sol quizá nunca podramos apreciar toda tu belleza. Cuando eres tú mismo con otra persona que lo que hace es llenarte de felicidad y complementarte, ahí es, no busques más y no pierdas la oportunidad de demostrarlo porque yo justo ahora podría decir que su alma con la mía son inseparables.
Nuestras dos almas cuando la escuché por primera vez
La primera vez que escuché el tema fue por el ensamble gurrufio, un ensamble muy conocido de música venezolana, pilar en la formación de muchos músicos y fue precisamente en Mandolina que quedé encantado. Cristóbal Soto interpretando de manera magistral, como siempre, me dejó anonadado con ciertos matices que le daba a la obra, era sublime y contrastante. Después de escucharla aproximadamente unas 100 veces me propuse a montarla.
Esa historia se remonta hace unos años y en el presente es una de mis piezas favoritas y aunque no sea de Cristóbal es para mí casi un sello escucharlo en esa grabación.
Cuando un tema te deja marca lo hace para siempre y el objetivo es que en un futuro uno pueda dejar la misma marca que dejaron esos grandes maestros en las demás personas que vendrán para seguir mejorando nuestra música.

Talking a little about the theme, our two souls of Felix Mejias, we can talk about two friends who are like brothers or a couple, we can talk about what that phrase can represent for us and more intimately related to "A good friend". For me this song is for a good friend, it represents her very well, a friend who became more than that, my girlfriend. In the song I hear two people, I hear the calm and a thunderous part that ends up giving way to the peace that is love, the culmination of the phrase that decays like a fight after a hug.
For me we are she and I representing maybe a not so good day, but in the end being together. We go slow, then fast, maybe we fight and get content but we are two soul mates who are filled with joy at seeing each other and in the end can't stop being together, who arrive as one at the end.
What else could I tell you about soul mates? It's like being a moon, you are always there but if you are not illuminated by the sun we may never be able to appreciate your full beauty. When you are yourself with another person that what they do is fill you with happiness and complement you, that's it, look no further and don't miss the opportunity to prove it because I could just now say that their soul with mine are inseparable.
Our two souls when I heard it for the first time
The first time I heard the song was by the ensemble gurrufio, a very well known ensemble of Venezuelan music, a pillar in the formation of many musicians and it was precisely in Mandolina that I was enchanted. Cristóbal Soto interpreting in a masterful way, as always, left me stunned with certain nuances that he gave to the work, it was sublime and contrasting. After listening to it approximately 100 times, I decided to mount it.
That story goes back a few years and at present is one of my favorite pieces and although it is not by Cristobal is for me almost a seal to hear it in that recording.
When a song leaves a mark on you it does it forever and the goal is that in the future one can leave the same mark that those great masters left on other people who will come to continue improving our music.
