♫“Adiós, a Ocumare” como debería llamarse es “Adiós a Petare”, porque lo compuso en 1904 Don Ángel María Landaeta, secretario del Tribunal de Primera Instancia y primer violinista de la Banda del estado cuando la capital del estado Miranda que era Petare, fue trasladada a Ocumare del Tuy en el año 1864 Eran tiempos de valses y presidía la República de Venezuela el General Cipriano Castro, gran bailador de valses y protector de los músicos que los interpretaban. Cuenta la historia que el General Castro volvió a los 20 estados del federalismo zamorano y en el Tuy,Don Ángel se inspiró y compuso este hermoso valse, composición por la cual entró en la historia musical de Venezuela. Es, justamente por esta composición que más se recuerda a este músico del siglo XX.
En realidad, la musa de Ángel María Landaeta concibió el valse como un homenaje al pueblo que debía dejar (Petare), era la despedida expresada en esta bella música instrumental

en mi parte saque un arreglo conjunto a otros músicos a un arreglo para flauta sacando los graves de la mandolina y bueno adaptándola en la flauta esta pieza lleva cualquier instrumento de cuerda para que suene con más fuerza y con más armonía
