Hello everyone and warm welcome to my Larry hunt for Saturday, the 25th day of November, 2023. It is the weekend again. And the EPL is back. The star match of the week is Manchester City vs Liverpool. It ended in a one all draw (1-1). The next match was

Larry begins his look at today in history from Japan. From Argentina, Larry goes to Cuba. He finds out that on this day in 2016, Fidel Castro, the Cuban political leader who transformed his country into the Western Hemisphere's first communist state and became a symbol of Latin America's communist revolution, died at the age of 90.

From the world of football, Larry goes to Suriname. He finds out that on this day in 1975, Suriname became independent of the Netherlands.
From Suriname, Larry goes to Chile. He finds out that on this day in 1915, Augusto Pinochet, the head of the Chilean military junta that ousted President Salvador Allende's socialist government on September 11, 1973. Pinochet led Chile's military administration from 1974 to 1990. Thousands of opponents of his administration were tortured throughout his authoritarian reign. Augusto Pinochet was born this day in 1915 in Valparaiso, Chile.
Finally, Larry rounds off his look at today from Japan. He finds out that on this day in 1957, Diego Rivera, a Mexican painter whose large-scale murals inspired a renaissance of fresco painting in Latin America, died in Mexico City.
Having seen all these pieces of historical events, Larry zooms off to begin his daily deliveries.
