Hello everyone and warm welcome to my Larry hunt for monday, the 29th day of July, 2024. Happy new week everyone. Jason Sancho's days as a Manchester United player may finally be coming to an end as Paris St-Germain have reportedly struck an agreement in principle with 24-year-old English forward. PSG must however meet Manchester United's asking price of about £50m.
Larry then veers off to have a look at today in #history.
Larry begins his look at today in history from the USA. He finds out that on this day in **1958, President Dwight D. Eisenhower **of the United States signed legislation creating the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) after it was criticised for allowing the Soviet Union to launch Sputnik 1, the first artificial satellite to orbit the Earth.
From the USA, Larry goes to the world of space exploration and discovery. He finds out that on this day in 2005, the discovery of what was initially thought to be the tenth planet was formally announced by planetary scientists; it was subsequently classified as a dwarf planet and given the name Eris.
From the world of space exploration and discovery, Larry goes to the world of international organisations. He finds out that on this day in 1957, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) was created.
From the world of international organisations, Larry goes to England. He finds out that on this day in 1981, Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer were married in St. Paul's Cathedral in London.
From England, Larry goes to Venezuela. He finds out that on this day in 1913, Albania was officially recognized by the major European powers as an independent principality following the issuance of the Vlorë proclamation.
Finally, Larry rounds off his look at today in #history from England. He finds out that on this day in 1883, Benito Mussolini the first fascist dictator in 20th-century Europe who served as Prime Minister of Italy from 1922 until 1943 was born in Predappio, Italy.
Having seen all these pieces of historical events, Larry zooms off to begin his daily deliveries.
