World Kidney Day
The kidneys are the main organs of the human urinary system. They are responsible for the excretion of waste substances through the urine and have other very important functions, including the regulation of the balance of the internal environment of the body (homeostasis), controlling the volume of extracellular fluids, the osmolarity of blood plasma , the electrolyte balance and the pH of the internal environment. In addition, the kidney manufactures hormones such as erythropoietin that regulates the production of red blood cells and renin that regulates blood pressure. The kidneys are paired organs shaped like a bean. In humans they are located in the back of the abdomen on both sides of the spine, each kidney being 12 cm long and 6 wide. It weighs between 150 and 170 grams in an average adult. The absence of kidneys or their lack of functioning is incompatible with life, therefore patients with severe kidney failure require the use of dialysis procedures (artificial kidney) or a kidney transplant to continue with life.

Alright let's go for Luke
The End
Facebook is really about communicating and telling stories... We think that people can really help spread awareness of organ donation and that they want to participate in this to their friends. And that can be a big part of helping solve the crisis that's out there.
