According to how I planned it, the outdoor campaign which is designed for this purpose will kickoff tomorrow, Tuesday 17/12/2024. I went to the closest business to my office to which is Gods Own Super Market to inform the shop owner about the campaign and equally show her the rollup banner. It turned out that both the shop owner and few customers I spoke to were so happy for this idea. So I believe it would be awesome.
The plan - and a sample of it
For this SpendHBD outdoor campaign, the main target are customers of listed businesses. So we will utilize the rollup banner to draw attention and start a conversation. The banner would be placed at a point where passers-by or customers or both would be able to see it. Once the banner captures attention, the discussion about instant cash discount could begin.
Once I got to Gods Own Supermarket which would be our kickoff point, I showed the owner what I came with - the rollup banner. I opened it and explained what we want to use it for. She was really excited and quickly showed me a spot we could place it either if we choose to keep it inside the shop or in front of it. She commended the idea and was even quick to mention it to a few customers that where available at the time.
The idea of cash discount appealed to all the customers that heard about it. A few of them were in a hurry to shop and go. So they promised to come back for it later. However, 3 customers both showed interest and were willing to wait to be assisted on signing up and downloading Hive Keychain wallet to their devices.
The 3 new Sign ups
The first lady that showed interest happily asked for a seat to wait in order to complete everything and have her cashback discount. Of course she mentioned that she lives at Owerri, a city very close to Aba. But was willing to be part of the program. The second person didnt really buy much, but he was so happy to join the program. I explained how it works and it didnt take long for him to get started. While I was attending to these 3 newbies, came into the shop to buy a few things. I was happy to see here. She is always easily generaous and gifted me some items. I also shared a selfie with her and the rollup banner.
Getting ready for tomorrow
The little experience I had this evening shows that this campaign would be massive. Almost all the customers were happy and eager to have their discount. It basically mean that there are many newbies that will start signing up once we begin. I hope that the enthusiasm would be sustained and we can increase the number of people paying with HBD at all listed businesses.
