Hello Hive family!
I’m super excited (and a little nervous) to finally introduce myself to this amazing community. My name is Tiwa and i’m joining you all from the vibrant and energetic heart of Nigeria- a country of rich culture, big dreams and legendary Jollof rice (don’t argue with me, Ghana!)
So who am i? Let me give y’all a little tour of my world.
A QUICK SNAPSHOT OF ME
I’m a 100-level student of the department of Mass Communication at the University of Lagos(UNILAG). Yes, I’m the kind of person who loves books, information, research abd helping people access information.(I will drop screenshots of texts where my coursemates called me ARCHIVIST- one who preserve important files)
My journey as a student has been an interesting one filled with late night study sessions, group projects, lots of group assignments and some truly unforgettable moments with my friends(i love them so much) and lecturers (especially my course adviser).
I’m passionate about learning new skills, digital technology and making meaningful connections.
Few years ago, i went into WEB 3 trying to source for jobs as Community manager or Moderator.
It was fun because i learnt new things and made new friends.
Recently, i have been diving into the world of forex trading and planning to get more serious about it after my exams.
It’s a challenging but exciting space and i’m eager to share my experiences as i grow in it.
I like to take pictures of nice buildings in UNILAG, i like to cook, bake and learn new things.
HOW I FOUND HIVE- AND WHY I STAYED.
I actually discovered Hive through .
She introduced me to Ecency, showed me how it works and explained how people share contents and earn crypto rewards. I was really interested but what really caught my attention was when she mentioned HBD- Hive Backed Dollars.
She told me that the HBD you earn can be used to make real purchases- online shopping.
That blew my mind.
She also told me about - a project that allows one to shop in a listed shop and get paid and also get discounts.
The idea that i could post things i enjoy, learn from others and earn a digital currency that’s actually spendable was too good to ignore.
That gave me the confirmation that i had to give Hive a try- and i’m so glad i did.
I’m also curious to know more about HIVE.
