Everyone perceives Christmas differently; some people are besotted lovers of Christmas, there are the happy I really like Christmas people, the people who buy a present or two as they go to lunch or the I am too busy living life to be home for Christmas. Like this young single adult, my son, who sent this card several years ago.
Merry Christmas Everyone!!
I wish I was there but adventure awaits. Presents are on their way in the near future.
Interestingly and maybe not surprisingly, I have found over the years that the most common denominator amongst so many is the willingness to give. I am sure I am not on my own with this observation. Even though the giving of well wishes and the giving of gifts are very Christmassy, giving is not exclusive to the traditional Christian celebration.
Giving is a global world act carried out every minute, hour, day, week and month of every year by well meaning caring people in all the countries. The world has to benefit in so many positive ways from the numerous lovely people who give so selflessly and so quietly. Individuals with the best of intentions give with a smile, a kind word, a prayer, a compliment, a helping hand, a bunch of flowers etc. The best giving comes from the heart and does not need money.
Receiving is the equally important other part of the equation; giving with the best intentions and with sincerity flows best when received unconditionally and with gratitude. When all this boxes are ticked the energy behind the giving keeps going as the receiver gives and so it flows on effortlessly to so many.

I see the energy of gift giving flowing at Christmas time. We can all do a bit of hope, love, peace and joy sprinkling down from the angelic realms above.

It was a kitchen day of cooking two Florentine Slices yesterday on Sunday. One each for my sisters-in-laws, who do not have time or perhaps the energy to make this delicious decadent slice full of cherries, sultanas, cornflakes, sweet condense milk and dark chocolate. A felt good, a gift of sweet love for these special kind ladies who devote their time to charity.
it made my Sunday beautifully sublime thank you

By the end of the day, my kitchen work was complete. In the newly bought jars the slices sat with pride of place under the Christmas tree all tied up with bows of red ribbon.
Tomorrow we drive to Brisbane with the jars in a cold esky to give my gifts over a Christmas themed morning tea.
I am finishing my post with a new sparkly silvery angel spreading its joy hanging from a string in my lounge room. It was the giving of a little gift from me to me.
Sending everyone Christmas joy

Being a hopeless lover of flowers I am unashamedly alwaysaflower girl. So please bearing this in mind I am finishing my post with a little Christmas flower, my gift of love to you all from my garden. Even though I have shared this favourite flower before i am doing so again in a slightly different format.
