I am a believer in democracy, freedom, and equality. From this point of view I consider that all days of the week are equal and equally beautiful and, at the same time, each of them can be the "the most beautiful day". There are so many little components that make a normal day the most beautiful day and there are so many reasons for each of us to choose a certain day as the most beautiful.
This convoluted and cheap conclusion came to me thinking about this Sunday, which I should tell you about. What to choose, what would be more interesting? As I believe, everyone has their own reasons for declaring a day as beautiful, wonderful, sublime, etc. Everything is very personal and can be totally uninteresting for others, if it does not refer to traveling, holidays, visiting museums, or watching shows.
I will now risk bringing before you snippets of a day no different from any other, perhaps boring for any of you but so important to me. Because for me every new day is wonderful, I mean I try to get used to thinking that. Because that's why I write in Silver Bloggers, I think that's where this attitude is easiest to understand!
The Most Beautiful Day is an old Romanian song, sung by a musically talented architect, Alexandru Andries. One of the most loved folk singers in Romania. A veteran of this musical genre. This short song is one of my all-time favorites, a sad love song, actually about the loss of love!
One of the purposes for which I write here is also to make known my small and remote country, located at the eastern edge of the European Union, with a long border with Ukraine and, unfortunately, so close to Russia! Through all my posts I try to show a small part of my country, the city where I live, the architecture, the culture, and the reasons why it should be visited. About music I wrote less, I showed less because of the Romanian language barrier, totally unknown to you.
Today I thought I could somehow overcome this problem by translating, with my limited possibilities, the text of the song, so that you can understand what the singer is saying.
For those interested in listening to a sensitive and sad song and not understanding anything, this is...
the most beautiful day
It was in the beginning when you couldn't lie to me!
A kind of a longer, the more beautiful day
It will be if only we could lie
I would turn back the clock, you would boil two soft eggs
You'd say at home it's just us
Silence would help you get rid of my question
Of all the questions, the hardest...
When it gets dark in the evening, you can't control yourself
From the bathroom, on the phone, you would talk
With a dark voice, with a sullen air
Anything just to see me go
And then you wonder, you know, the most beautiful day
It was in the beginning when you couldn't lie to me!
I've listened to this song dozens of times. It saddens me deeply but I'm glad I haven't experienced it myself, Luckily in my youth, it was not possible to talk on the phone from the bathroom!
This Sunday I stayed home. Alone! My wife went to church and I stayed home. I like to be alone once in a while. Then I want to solve certain things and problems that when we're together at home I don't really manage. Unfortunately, when I'm alone, I can't decide what to do first and most of the time I end up doing nothing.
That's what happened today. To save the day, I decided to read posts on Hive, glad to have the silence I needed. I liked that a lot.
God, what talented colleagues we have! What gorgeous posts, both visually and in content. Aesthetic pleasure is complemented with lots of useful information.
Aesthetic, eclectic style, and magazine-like photos at , I must admit she is my unwavering role model and constant support in all these four years we've been in this wonderful place.
Dramatic and so concisely and accurately written in the wartime conditions of Kyiv. It's incredible how shows us the situation much more closely than any famous journalist or war correspondent. She and her husband's lives are permanently in danger and we are all worried.
Greece is my favorite place to travel and dream. Island travel is more difficult but dreaming is free. A good alternative to dreaming are and

Regarding Greece, another pleasant surprise. Another friend from there, , has started posting again, after a two-year break! I really enjoyed it,
delighted me with her travel posts and especially with her Greek cuisine recipes. Coming back, after such a long absence, is extremely hard and I hope we will all help her in this endeavor!
Reading can turn an ordinary day into a special one, not the most beautiful day but close. Perhaps a flower heralding the arrival of spring will help too.
Once again I was lost for words. I started with an idea that I lost along the way because I have to admit I wanted this post to be otherwise.
