El día de hoy “Las Crónicas de los Silverbloggers” no invita hablar un poco sobre esa mejor amiga de la infancia que formó parte de tu historia.
Y yo, ¡Super encantada! de poder hacerlo, porque tuve la suerte y la dicha de tener a la mejor amiga de todas “GLADYS”.
Today, “The Chronicles of the Silverbloggers” invites us to talk a little about that best childhood friend who was part of your story.
And I’m absolutely thrilled to do so, because I was lucky and blessed to have the best friend of all: “GLADYS.”
Conocí a mi prima Gladys en unas vacaciones escolares, mi madre y mi tía tenían todo dispuesto para que yo pasara allá las vacaciones, no se si fue una prueba de fuego para ver si me adaptaba o la idea de que yo viviera y estudiara allí vino después.
I met my cousin Gladys during a school vacation; my mom and my aunt had everything arranged for me to spend the vacation there. I don’t know if it was a trial run to see if I’d adapt, or if the idea of me living and studying there came later.
Lo cierto es que después de aquellas vacaciones me inscribieron en el mismo colegio de mi amiga y comenzó la mejor aventura de mi vida junto a mi inseparable mosquetera.
The truth is that after that vacation, they enrolled me in the same school as my friend, and the best adventure of my life began alongside my inseparable musketeer.
Hablar de mi amiga, la que aparece en la primera imagen de mi post, es hablar desde lo mas profundo del corazón porque para ella solo tengo frases de amor, cariño, respeto, complicidad, ayuda, colaboración, unión y todos los calificativos que pueda generar una verdadera amistad.
To speak of this friend—the one who appears in the first image of my post—is to speak from the depths of my heart, because for her I have only words of love, affection, respect, camaraderie, support, collaboration, unity, and all the qualities that a true friendship can inspire.
A ella le doy las gracias por haberme enseñado el significado de la palabra “AMISTAD” y por eso, aunque ahora el destino nos haya puesto en países distintos, no importa, porque cuando nos vemos es como si nunca hubiese pasado ni un solo día en que hubiésemos dejado de vernos.
I want to thank her for teaching me the true meaning of the word “FRIENDSHIP,” and that’s why, even though fate has now placed us in different countries, it doesn’t matter—because when we see each other, it’s as if not a single day has gone by since we last saw each other.
El año pasado tuve la dicha de poder viajar a verla, ella ahora vive en Chile, se tuvo que ir a consecuencia de la mala situación que atraviesa el país y luego de 5 años sin ver a su familia por fin pudo volver. Ella llego a Táchira y yo enseguida tomé el avión y me fui a encontrarme con ella.
Last year I was lucky enough to be able to travel to see her; she now lives in Chile. She had to leave because of the difficult situation the country is going through, and after five years without seeing her family, she was finally able to return. She arrived in Táchira, and I immediately hopped on a plane to go meet her.
Era el día de mi cumpleaños así que la celebración fue por partida doble, podría decir que triple porque también compartí ese día con mis otras amigas de la infancia, mi querida Leyda, Kelly, Lourdes, Decxy que es la más pequeña del grupo.
It was my birthday, so it was a double celebration—I could even say triple, because I also spent that day with my other childhood friends: my dear Leyda, Kelly, Lourdes, and Decxy, who is the youngest of the group.
Ese era el grupo de la cuadra, las que jugábamos cada tarde, las que peleábamos, reíamos, cantábamos, inventábamos paseos al rio, a bailar, conocimos nuestros primeros novios y muchas hoy en día somos comadres porque bautizamos nuestros hijos.
That was the neighborhood gang—the ones who played every afternoon, who fought, laughed, sang, and planned trips to the river or to go dancing. We met our first boyfriends, and many of us are now close friends because we’ve had our children baptized together.
Que bonito suspirar recordando estas cosas tan lindas de nuestra vida, por eso solo quiero decirles a ustedes amigos de Silverbloggers ¡gracias! Hoy me han hecho empezar este día con una alegría en mi corazón.
