Sandton City in the distane
Magnificent Jacaranda Trees
We have lived in Parktown with my cousins for nearly a year and just before leaving I was invited to see the neighbours garden and Jacaranda trees in full bloom. Marion is a horticulturalist so her garden was truly magnificent.

Gorgeous beds of various flowers and plants
After the visit Dino and I took a walk across the road where they have an Olives and Plates and enjoyed a lunch. He had some pasta and I had a piece of hake and chips. It was very good.

Followed by a delicious cappaccino
We are now enjoying our new place in Bryanston and our gardens here are also exquisite except we don't have the beautiful view.
Our relatives visited and I took this photograph of them from the gardens of my cousin's home.

Capetown is the preferred area in South Africa but one cannot deny the beauty of the greenery in the Johannesburg area.
I am constantly grateful to have been here at this time despite the drama of the hijacking. We can only be more cautious and watchful going forward and indeed grateful that we have a shopping centre across the road from us - so we can do almost anything without the use of a car.
We have a grocery store, four coffee shops, homemade icecream and restaurants all at our fingertips.
We miss Cyprus and the sea, but we are heading into a lovely summer and the weather in Johannesburg is by far the best in the country. For now we will be happy with a lovely swimming pool until we get to enjoy the ocean again.
Have a blessed week. Thank you for reading my blog.
