Had a very special Mother's Day this year and created some lovely memories.
We started out popping across the road to Doppio Zero where we had cuppaccino and a slice of decadent cake, from my son Jack who is still living in Cyprus.

Then at 2pm we took an uber to Monte Casino where my son, Lee, who is living in the Netherlands, treated us to a superb lunch at Verdicchio where you eat in a lovely atmosphere in the cellar. It was my intention to order a sole (after seeing it on a menu on the internet) only to be told that they hadn't had sole on the menu for years.
I decided to have 8 queen prawns - really delicious and managed to eat them all. Eden, my daughter ordered butterfly grilled chicken with lemon butter.

Lunch was a lovely experience. What can I say, good food, good company and a wonderful atmoshere. I look forward to eating out with my son when he comes here on holiday in three weeks time.
After lunch we had some time to kill so we went to Col'cacchio for a cuppaccino and then went to the Theatre to a six o'clock show called Key Change with Jonathan Roxmouth.
He was accompanied with a 5 piece band, playing cello's, guitars, keyboard and drums. Excellent musicians.

This was a gift from Eden and it was one of the best shows I've seen. Years ago we saw A handful of keys which was a similar type of show - I have always cherished memories of that show.
Fun fact: I bumped into a partner of mine whilst I was in real estate and who I hadn't seen in more than 10 years. We were at a theatre production of Pretty Woman and she was also at the show on the same evening - although we didn't see each other. Afterwards in a message she said that she and her husband Ernest had gone to Verdicchio for dinner - so that is why I chose that restaurant for my treat.

My friends Zia and Ernest
Sent to me by Zia - this photograph captures the atmosphere very nicely.
Looking forward to reconnecting with Zia later this week. As the saying goes - "It's a small world"
Thanks again to my adult children who bless me every day.
