It's been such a transformational year, I wouldn't even know where to begin if I were to tell you about all the things. I've had so many breakthroughs, so many realisations and grown so much as a human.
This photo feels like a good visual explanation: I'm more loving than I've ever been before. But it's been a bumpy road to get here and I'm still learning every day.
But what did I accomplish in terms of normal things I can talk or boast about? Hmmm, good question. Let's focus on my achievements here on Hive, since this is the platform we're on!
According to hive-wrapped.com...
I published 69 posts. Not bad. That's more than one a week. I'll take that! Don't know about content machine... sounds like a more appropriate name for my partner, , to be honest!
Apparently, I wrote 626 comments. That's just over 12 per week. That's... more than I would have guessed I'd done. So, good surprise there. Good. What's next?
So, I upvoted 2,339 times. Sounds like a lot, if you're a newbie to Hive reading this. But what you need to know is that I've have automatic upvotes set up for a while now, automatimagically following fabulous people around Hive and giving them auto-love. So... I can't take much credit for this - other than being smart enough to take Brad's advice and set it up :P
Rewards! I like rewards. 176.818 in Hive Backed Dollars. Yes!!! And 759.627 in Hive Power. Good, good, good. Thank you to everyone who is automatically following me around Hive and automagically upvoting my unnecessarily long posts :P
And it looks like I received 11.01 Hive Power, on average, per post for the year, along with 2.56 Hive Backed Dollars. Wonderful. Lucky I know how to write sentences with more than one word in them. Seems to work :P
My longest posting streak of three measly days only serves to prove my earlier point that I am far from a 'content machine'. Next!
July looked good! 12 posts! That's more than one for every three days! (*Tries to remember what was happening in July... Fails. Must have been good!)
Oh, look, hive-wrapped.com put all those stats in one handy dandy single visual for us (plus a couple of extras, like unique tags?!). Excellent!
So, I guess now that I've semi-celebrated my achievements on Hive for this year, I should set some goals for next year, ey?
How about this:
- Make my stats better in 2026 than they were in 2025,
- Put a visual reminder somewhere that helps me get on Hive slightly more often, and
- Remember why I love Hive (connecting with and learning from people of a variety of backgrounds and cultures so different from my own) and be sure to learn from and engage with said people.
The End.
Thanks for reading and being part of my Hive life in 2025.
