Today I've tried in vain many times to sit down to write, but it's now or never. It's my last chance if I want to keep doing the #HiveBloPoMo challenge. So I'll shake off the CBA mode, which my friend seems to have transferred to me this weekend, and I'll free-write to ramble a bit about my lazy weekend.
After the stress and exhaustion of the last few weeks, I needed a lazy weekend. I'm not much of a napper, but this weekend I've probably beaten Grogu in the hours we've spent napping. And I needed it.

Yesterday, my mother spent the day at my sister's house. And the husband spent the day editing while I spent the day eating, watching Netflix, sleeping, and repeating the whole thing a few times.
The weather has not helped either. Although the rains in Caracas have not been as heavy as in other parts of the country, in which floods continue to wreak havoc. The weather has been cloudy for most of the weekend.
Now in the afternoon, while I have shaken off my laziness, I'm trying to write. The husband took a break from editing and went to the kitchen to make sweet chili jam, which turned out spicy since he added some ginger to it. But it is delicious

And every time I eat jam. I can't help thinking that I would love to try one of those delicious jams that sells at her market stall.
And as I write these lines, the hubby is preparing bolognese sauce for dinner. That has completed my lazy weekend because I haven't had to cook.
So I feel like my batteries are recharged. This week I have to take my mother for a couple of medical check-ups, and we are still waiting for the splint to be ready to be put on her arm.
And I've already started counting down the days until my son comes home on holiday. He should be here in a month. He has been doing very well, and he loves the university. He is doing what he loves, studying, studying, and studying. But the cold has already started to affect him. He has already had to go to the doctor for the first time because of a cold that has affected his ears. And next Tuesday, he will experience his first snowfall, which he is very excited about.
I'll leave today's ramblings here. If you have made it this far, thank you very much for reading me. And have a wonderful week ahead.
