When I joined Hive platform over a year ago, the silver blogger community was one of the first set of communities I subscribed to. However, I haven't taken the time to look at the community to see what's happening here. In my mind, I thought the community could be mostly about metal collections and photography. Since I don't have any silver items in my house or have the interest to get any, I didn't take a second look at the community. And that's how it has been.
The name silver makes me think it was all about blogging around precious metals collections. Recently, I read a post submitted to the silver bloggers community from a friend I subscribed to a few days ago. The post was about a memoir of her childhood experiences. This got me curious about this community once again, and pushed me to check out what's actually going on here.
Having gone through some of the community guidelines articles, I now fully understand what the silver bloggers community is all about. Without missing words, I can say, this is the kind of community I have been looking for. Everything that I read in guilds and the types of posts I have seen in the community fit perfectly into my blogging personalities.
I am interested in getting more involved here after I have kept my distance for so long due to preconceived assumptions. Now that I understand the community's true focus on diverse topics like family life and personal experiences, I think my content centered around lifestyle and insights fits well in the community. Moreover, the community seems to be about sharing personal stories and perspectives in a thoughtful and supportive way.
As someone who writes about topics like relationships, family, and new technology, I believe my content could take an amazing shape. Much of what I have posted is focused on documenting my personal adventure and observations. I anticipate that being a part of this community will help me connect with others in a meaningful way, even as I continue in my development as a writer.
I am satisfied that I took the time to look at past surface stage impressions and learn a little extra of what Silver Bloggers is clearly about. It is so easy to make judgments without understanding. I'm excited to dive ahead here.
