I did some sums last night over supper.
It rained all day and didn't go above 9°C all day. That's cold for us, so it was comfort food cottage pie with cauliflower topping which must include McGregor Herbes de Provence.
Back to the marmalade
I need to make another batch. Soon. Probably this week because citrus is "in".
The first pic is of the most recent batch of three fruit that I made a month ago of which I had to reserve six jars because of advance warning of an order from Maastricht.
Punctuated by the batch of lemon ten days ago, it'll be three batches of between 15 and 20 jars in four weeks.
In eleven months (i.e. since the market resumed after the hard locks on 5 July 2020), just via the market, I have sold 116 jars. That's more than ten a month, and in the last six, that's gone up to nearly 12 a month.
The market and The Sandbag House (home) are my only outlets.
This is the back of part of my stand at the market and with the winter sun catching the products. Now I know why folk were buying from behind. It annoyed me. 🤣 I am going to rearrange my stall next week to make the most of the low angle of the winter sun!
Perhaps the numbers are telling me something. I have some thinking to do.
Until next time, be well
