This was how Thusday began. It was cold and grey. Which of course, Gandalf was not. He was, let's just say, indulged and warm as toast. In the pink. That is were he stayed for the better part of the day.
My online interview reprise was a success, but the comedy of errors continued. The interviewer confessed thay she'd messes up on Monday and asked me questions relating to to a somewhat different role for which they were advertising and not the writer.... Anyhow, we had a laugh and picked up where we left off. We got through the business and ended with her saying she was putting my CV forward to the directors with a strong recommendation. The second and, I hope, final interview is on Monday. Update will follow in due course...
Supper was largely courtesy one of my market pals, who unusually, had half a dozen garden (free range) eggs going begging. Our enjoyment of eggs is no secret. I happily swopped them for a jar of soup.
I decided that they needed to be the hero of a meal and what better way than poached?
Served with potato wedges and on a bed of mushrooms and peas with thyme and mint. Almost egg and chips (which is why I needed the red sauce) but better. So The Husband declared, ignoring the red sauce.
A good end to a day that was Wednesday until I discovered it was Thursday.
When did that happen?
Rambo wasn't saying, but tried to take over my seat. My defence: to put him on my lap. Where he settled. That's a first.
So more than three photos for a Thursday that was really a Wednesday. And today is Friday. Of that I am sure...
Until next time, be well
