Yesterday dawned cold, grey and wet. Nobody, least of all, tje felines wanted to go anywhere other than the warm bed. Including Rambo who, for the first time, settled at The Husband's feet waiting for breakfast.
This was my view through Pearli's ears after she had leapt over his head from the windowsill on to the bed. Nobody's very sure about this.
Then and because we both needed bread and I need practise, more bread:
Here it is after proving in the fridge all night and before going into the oven.
Out of the oven: It's getting closer to the shape I would like. Being mostly free form, it'll never be perfect. I have to make peace with that.
The crust and the flavour are fa-bu-lous. Just with butter or olive oil and balsamic vinegar makes the perfect lunch.
