It was an inordinately long day in the kitchen, punctuated by an over long unexpected visitor. And, because we are in lockdown again and can't escape to the local, I was cooking sùpper from scratch. I spent the best part of 12 solid hours in the kitchen, on my feet.
I still have to put the BB date, label and tags on the paté. I gave up, cooked supper and figured today was another day.
Lots of chopping and long cooking for another batch of marmalade and French onion soup.
A good set and a little darker than I would have liked. I think. I need to see it in natural light.
By the time I took these photos, the sourdough rolls had been packed, ready for the market.
Ironically, it's a calendar year since we resumed the market after the hardest lockdown (level 5) last year and the first under adjusted level 4 to which we returned on Monday.
Last night's supper of pan fried hake on creamed spinach with some of the day's product in the background.
As I write, the wind is howling. It's going to be another windy market. And this is a cheeky contribution to 's #marketfriday initiative.
Happy weekend!
Until next time, be well
