My laptop is a dinosaur and I won't delete photographs. My external hard drive went on a trip off my desk and died a death. It had all my photos on it, but mercifully, I was able to recover them, thanks to Picassa. I know, I should move on from there, and probably will, today. Anyway, that my trusty laptop is so full, means I need to pay attention. When I don't I have crap days. It's my own fault. Yesterday was one such. Not helped by The Husband running out of petrol and, I kid you not, the village garage had also run out of petrol - on Monday. I had to help him tow this bakkie. It' a little ute, but now it's sitting waiting to be fed. Hungry little beast!
That's a long way to saying that I was thrilled that last night's supper cooked itself.
It's a winter warmer and a family favourite from childhood. Oxtail. Cooked gently and slowly for hours in the slow cooker and served on rustic mustard mash with the carrots from the stew and minted peas.
The recipe is here and I'm pleased to report that The Husband ate very morsel on his plate.
He is much better - not quite fully recovered - thank you for asking. He had finished 2 days work (I couldn't stop him - didn't even try), and other than knackered (and grumpy - not helped by no petrol), none the worse for wear!
Until next time, be well

If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm doing two things:
- re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I am adding them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
- and "re-capturing" nearly two years' worth of posts.
- From Wordpress, I use the Exxp Wordpress plugin. If this rocks your socks, click here or on on the image below to sign up.
