This February has got to be the longest short month, ever. I feels as though it began last year after a January that was 310 days long. But still, the time has flown and as we approach (she says in disbelief) the end of the month, I have not stopped. Yet, at its beginning, when I asked my now longest standing client about what was on the agenda, she didn't know.
Like Pearli here, I was annoyed and a bit irritated. I shouldn't have been. I now know. The work came and some of it very demanding. And from the Finnish head office, a request to sign a non-disclosure agreement. I like that. One project will run into the new month. I like that. Conversations about work indicate that my colleague expects me to be around at least into the next year. I like that.
I am having to be even more disciplined in how I allocate my time to regular projects. That's good. That way, I definitely accomplish more.
But that's not all:
For the first time in more than two years, on Sunday, I have agreed to participate in a market other than our usual Saturday morning market. I won't be taking all my usual fare and will focus mostly on the peserves. Some of which are running low. This is part of why chilli jam was on last Friday's agenda. I also have an order for seven jars - for me, with my limited capacity - that's virtually an entire batch.
It's also why I had run out of labels. When I made that change, I had never imagined that I would be ordering them with the regularity I am.
The move to printed labels has been good for the look and more efficient...
The market is a celebration of this year's harvest and is at the highest lying winery in the valley. Nestled in the mountains, it's beautiful. There will be a report back. With photos.
I am, though, getting ahead of myself. Before that, I have a day in the office before starting the first sourdough for Saturday's buns. Friday's list is a long one, but more of that in the usual Friday Files.
It's good to get to the end of the day, tired, and knowing things have been achieved and that there is more to do.
Until next time, be well

If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm doing two things:
- re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I am adding them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
- and "re-capturing" nearly two years' worth of posts.
- From Wordpress, I use the Exxp Wordpress plugin. If this rocks your socks, click here or on on the image below to sign up.
