I am not quite sure how this three photo Thursday thing began. I think it was one of my coping strategies in lockdown. Some weeks, I struggle. Yesterday was not one of those: even though I was literally glued to my desk. All day. Before I actually settled in, this was the late-ish sunrise.
This photo does not do it justice. What prompted me to take the photo was the bunch of silver-lined clouds to the right of the palm tree and just above the tree line. It's in my memory and mind's eye. It was as chilly as it looked: the first single digit (in Celsius) morning of the year.
The workday was, well, busy with computer admin. I had to send stuff into the cloud... My client had suspended work on our project pending a meeting today. And, mid-morning, and when I had happily started on my own agenda (market, Hive, BnB guest), part of the project was reinstated. I wanted to have something meaningful by the end of the day. Monday's the deadline. I think...
I didn't budge and even had lunch - leftovers at the keyboard. By 4pm, it started taking shape and an hour and a half later, I was able to send something to the with which I was not unhappy. Now I wait for news - on Monday - from today's meeting.
Did I mention that it was chilly? It's the second evening in a row, we have had a fire. I still hope for a warm spell and autumn...I am not ready for winter.
Nor is Ursula.
My sourdough mother wrappedup, warm to stay alive...
Mother is two this month. She came to life after my third try.
This is how my day ended: with the best neck warmer and draught-stopper in the universe. Rambo.

If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm doing two things:
re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I am adding them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
