Whew! A day older and I'm very grateful as always. I suppose everybody is thankful in each waking moment, yeah?
It's a sunny and warm Tuesday for us here which is a wonderful shift from the past few days of dreary, breezy, and cold weather. It feels like summer hence the flower photo above, hehe!
And while it is a perfect time for some outdoor activities and such, my little guy is probably in dreamland as he enjoys his peaceful rest after being up in the wee hours of the night. So who would have the heart to disturb such a baby? 😅
He woke me up just when I almost went into slumber after silencing my alarm which was set at 5 minutes to 2 am for the RWA show. I was dozing off without realizing it until I felt his warm little tongue licking on my nostrils, lol! For some reason, he seemed to know I had something to do so he made sure I wouldn't go back to my snooze.
But yes, every time the Farmboy is not around, this sweet soul stays in bed with me. And so we got up after a while and spent hours listening to the Ice Breaker show and snacking on some Ube bread. He seems to have learned my bad habit of nibbling food during the night. Add to that, I made the grave mistake of feeding him with a spoon some time ago. Since that day, he wouldn't touch his bowl until we spoon-feed him.
It's funny you would say and it is so innocently cute too when he turns his back from his food and all we can do is laugh and then patiently feed him anyway. He is simply irresistible especially when he gives us that look.
"Bad mom" the husband teased when he discovered what I did. He wanted me to make the little guy unlearn being fed with a spoon but I have not been able to figure out how to do it. He simply won't budge an inch even when we serve his favorite food. I realized that the things we taught him during his first month with us stuck with him and that they seem to have already become part of his personality and temperament. So I guess we should be mindful of what we say or do :)
But yes, it's a wonderful experience to have this sweet little guy in our home. Things have not been the same since he arrived. I wouldn't have thought he would bring changes to our lifestyle and be an added joy to the family too.
Meanwhile, the husband was suggesting we get another one - a Havanese breed he says, but I still have my reservations. It feels like giving Anyeong a brother too soon. It's not a bad idea of course so he can have a playmate aside from us, but not just yet...
Or maybe until I figure out how to make him eat on his own again, lol!
Anyhow, happy new day, frens! Hope life is treating you awesomely (or should I say, hope you are treating life well)😉
