Hello, everyone!
It's early evening on our side of the world and the day had been quite wonderful. The farmboy and I didn't do much earlier today with the weather being really cold.
We call a day like today our 'lazy' day when we just go with the flow and don't force ourselves to do any other things than those that randomly come to mind. It's practically a day-off from thinking about life's responsibilities and yes, work.
Our 'lazy' days don't necessarily mean we get completely idle though. At times we spend some hours clearing the yard of fallen tree leaves and stuff, or when we are into it, we do our laundry too. Today, however, we just relaxed and ate chocolates too, one of which we only noticed had already expired after we have eaten a bar, lol!
Checking my Meta (Facebook) account after so long a time of not popping in, I found some photos on my private album that reminded us of a day spent some years ago on a faraway land (Jieyang, China).
At first, we didn't really remember what we were doing at that part of the river because the album just mentioned: "A day by the river" and nothing else. Browsing the photos, there was one caption that said, "It would have been great if the water was crystal clear..."
We then spent some more time reminiscing and debating about what we did in that place on that particular day, lol!
Well, during those days, we were fond of going out on the weekends to find good places, restaurants, or parks where we can just have some fun, and this river was just around the neighborhood where we lived at that time.
The farmboy had it that we were trying to find a place to go for a picnic and we rode our electric motorbike until we came across this river and that we were fascinated with what they have done with it so we stopped and took photos.
I, on the other hand, thought that we were really there to check the place out. But he said we were not, lol!
Anyway, the debate stopped and we wondered why those few people were fishing there when the water was dirty.
We then admitted that dirty water doesn't really kill people unless it's taken continuously for a significant period of time, or if it is poisoned, and consumed in huge amounts, lol!
And we both concluded that we ended up leaving the place after taking photos because the water smelled quite badly and we are very sure we can't do picnics there.
Looking at the photos one more time, we both admired how those trees surrounded the buildings, giving a feeling like they were in an exclusive compound.
Photos, like the above, are mementos of days past and they either bring good memories or the opposite. Thanks to technologies that enable us to freeze moments and re-live them at future times, just like what the farmboy and I did today.
Had a nap just before mid-day while the farmboy played his mobile game, then he woke me up for lunch, we had coffee too and thereafter let the day pass by like we had all the time in the world, and before we knew it, the sunset came and we took photos of it, had dinner, enjoyed another cup of coffee and then here I am, sharing how our day and some memories of yesteryears :)
It's really been a fabulous Sunday for us here and I hope it is going very well for you too. Thank you for your time :)
