Do anything, but let it produce joy.

Howdy, Hive :)
I hope life is treating you well today as it's doing with us here in the mountains. The weekend has arrived, yay!
On Thursday afternoon, the rain poured heavily, accompanied by some scary thunderbolt, one we noticed as we looked out through the kitchen door while we were munching on some snacks then puff! The power went out. We thought it was just the usual auto-shut off thingy and it will come back in an hour or two but it was extended the whole of Friday. Apparently, the transformer had been busted. Thankfully, they were able to restore it and we got that portion of our 'happiness' back yesterday evening.
Electricity sure adds to life's convenience and to life's little joys too :)
Anyway, the absence of power had us making ourselves productive on other things offline. We did some DIY in the storage which turned out to be challenging because we needed to use manual saw and other tools but it was one fun day with loads of teasing and laughter.
Some people say adulting is tough. I used to agree on that. But is it really? I did realize sometime ago that whilst some of the things in life are beyond our control, there are many that we can do when we stop putting limits to ourselves and looking so far ahead, forgetting to enjoy the present moments. I'm so guilty of that too for sure. I'm thankful though that the husband knows when and how to spice things up when life is becoming monotonous.
And that what happened yesterday... us busting in loud laughter now and then, to the point that the stomach hurt and we had tears all over our eyes for laughing so much. It was one of those days where we didn't need any fancy things for it to be fully enjoyed. If there were passers by, they would probably think we have gone berserk, lol! We don't mind though :)
Then last night, as we were to go to bed, we learnt that Queen Elizabeth passed away... It must be tough for the family... No one sure knows when one's time is up, it just comes unannounced and at times, sudden too...
And true what they say, that life is short and time passes by so quickly. There is absolutely no rewind nor replay button, thus, we are earnestly encouraged to enjoy every moment as it comes.
And that we shall remember and try to always do...
