A medley of neighbours have welcomed me in my new home, each in their own way!
The troublesome nosey one who appears at my door unannounced - I was warned about that one; known to pry and spill the beans to the entire village. The sweet old girl, the slightly confused, the spirited and witty, the hoity-toity, the helpful: although it can be a little too much at times! Those with verbal diarrhea, the moaners, the fit walkers who put me to shame, and the lonely; the list goes on, and on.
A highly dense concentration of ordinary and not so ordinary folk!
I'm no different from many of these folk, just never lived so close to them.
My immediate neighbours are very nice though! The one above could become a friend, younger and still works.
I've been sorting things out slowly; thankfully my brother and his wife are five minutes away, as are Crusoe and Lily, my two sausage friends!
I'm finally ready and will move myself into the new home.
I'm excited, but still waiting for the lounge suite. Big mistake that was, fortunately discovered the error in time. I chose one that is too big, I'd not checked the dimensions myself and and thankfully the manufacturer accepted my cancellation. So now it's another wait!
All in all, the move so far has been good, but I've hardly had time to breath as my brother and his wife are always on the go!
We also had drama with my older brother needing care after a bad fall just before vital surgery.
Mom's best mistake, the unplanned baby, has now taken both his siblings under his wings!
