Preface
Since 2018, when my journey on the blockchain started, there was a lot of change on here, but not only on chain. Which also transformed my personal observation of things and then changed my experience of social media, at an accelerated speed then the years before...
MySpace was my first encounter with all these 'must haves', to take part and be IN. Then came fakehook, instapimp, fikfok, trixter and many more of that crap. Which didn't help to become 'sane in the brain', quite the opposite actually.
For half a century there is this need in me to just get rid of all the imposed 'all-is-good-fake-smiles' here in the 'comfortable-and-rich-because-of-stolen-blood-money' occident happiness. Nothing to complain,
workslave hard, shut up and be happy. And that's coming from an old British Pub Manager, whose given aim it was to profit from all this 'happiness' and bring in the dosh and surpassing every years already unreal budget, to satisfy all the 'money-shredders' of a national enterprise.
But i feel i start going off topic. Ha...
Back to the 'To Mute or Not To Mute' subject.
The other day this happened. Some user account actually sent me 0.002 hive to tell me that he doesn't understand why i muted him, and told me to unmute his account. So, just to be sure it didn't happen as a mistake (no rule without exception - as you know is my motto), i went to check on the complainer and found that there was everything okay from my side.
I'm just not interested in what this account is doing / sharing. And i did check, checking on it's details with the awesome tool of . There i saw that the account is offering nothing, not to me nor Hive. Just complaining that i muted it.
But why would i even mute an account in this awesome community of Hive you may ask!?!
On which, for a discussion starter, i would say:
- I do what i want, when i want and how i want!
- Think! Maybe even think twice!
- Do you, in real life, listen and exchange with every single person in the community you live?
- Do you even have time for that if you're not a social worker? And even then?
- Do you read all the info in a newspaper, even if, for example, you’re not interested in sport at all?
- Are you really doing all that just so the people in your community will accept you for who you are, so they maybe / might / perhaps with any luck come to love and support your ‘work’?
- Do you really have time for all that?
Life is to short for this - IMHO
In fact, every path is unique and personal. I wasn’t born to please others – at least, that’s what my experience 'shows' me. Having ‘seen’ all that I have in MY life, I put my trust in what life gives me every day!
It is my wish / aim to do my very best for ‘everyone and anyone’, especially in real life, without grovelling obsequiously to people who are (IMHO) mentally confused, just so they may will pat me on the back and validate my actions with a 'generous support'. No way! I choose my own illusion and take responsibility for whatever ‘karma’ may throws my way because of that.
Big No-Gos - because life is short
Since it seems that insanity is the new norm in society, it actually is quite easy to turn up on my personal muted-list: It's everything / everyone with lots of potential to waste my precious time and energy. And be assured, i know that i'll never miss a thing.

Check out this excellent site that explains a 'proper' way to chat, IMHO, called NoHello. And since i often use the most awesome app of @snapie on android, the NoHello site shows another easy way to join my muted-users-list on Hive, which you can follow BTW. #justSaying
Personally i feel that if more folks would use the mute button instead of down-voting stuff that their ego-selfish-ego can't handle, this blockchain may would be a 'better' place and could even attract a few more of the desperately wanted (?) new users i guess... whatcha thinkin' ?!
All content is my own intellectual "property", otherwise you'll see a source indicated !Some pictures i "twist" with Gimp - Now - Groove On Please! #justSaying |

Tipping is a way to show that you appreciate the work ! Thank you !
The “true” way of a community is to support each other, since it doesn't make sense to wait for the mercy of a millionaire to send us $$$ - we support each other with the best we can.
It works even after a contribution has gone through the seven days of voting, and thus the opportunity for gracious "giving" is over. Another plus - that way no one can ‘steal’ your given support, not even the often ego-selfish pointless Down-Voters. I thank you for all the support you give, anywhere !
