But why the grab and run? Well, the weather waits for nobody as you will see in here.
I had to take as many photos as I could get, as the weather threatened me.
I think you know the rushed feeling to get things done before the skies with its water pregnant clouds start to deliver the baby rain drops.
The wind was the doctor initially, and it's when the wind subsides that one has to know that it will start to rain at any minute.
Thankfully I had about half an hour to do my thing with the camera.
So come and see.
This below was taken from the car as we approached the mountains.
And I took this photo at a public park on our way.
We are now slowly drifting into the Autumn (Fall) season.
A swallow made his way over and I was lucky to get him on camera.
This thirsty great Dane stood drinking at my favorite spot.
But he must have seen my face, as he decided that it would be in his best interest to move :)
A lovely reflection of a damselfly on a submerged heart shaped leaf.
These two were taking taking care of last minute business before the winter season arrives.
A Water Skate sat on the water here behind the damselfly.
Yeah, things were starting to get dark and I felt some drops of rain.
Suddenly the high winds were picking up again and it was a signal for us to leave.
And finally, this was the scene as we pulled the car into the garage back home.
I am happy that the weather at least allowed me to get a few photos and we are looking forward to much water coming down to fill our dams during the approaching winter season. The Southern Hemisphere is in summer when the Northern Hemisphere is in winter, and we don't have much snow here.
Floods and fires we have plenty of, but earthquakes and typhoons are a rarity here in South Africa.
We had a lovely summer period when on some days we felt like we were living in an oven during the high temperatures, but I personally prefer the Autumn, winter and spring seasons. As then we have mild weather.
On another note, Papillon has received a request for support from a school in a poor area and I will tell you more about it after we have replied to the request. Education is very important to us, as it prepares the children for a better future. So watch this space.
I hope that you enjoyed the story and the pictures.
And That's All Friends.
