With cultural events, followed by some nice food and dance.
What an evening it was to celebrate the Independence day. As I stated in my last post, the prize distribution and cultural events were planned for the evening. The kids were excited to receive their prizes, so that was the first event.
Then the cultural program started with a nice patriotic song presented by the ladies group. Seemed they had done the full preparation for this.
And then we saw some spectacular performances on the stage.
This year the sponsorship was mostly done with voluntary contributions from residents and food was a last minute addition. The Green ladies department managed all the sports and cultural activities, doing a spectacular job. But then the gentlemen surprised on the last day by adding dinner and the food was really very tasty, being cooked at our premises. Initially there were discussions to cut short the events because of lack of funds, but then where there is a will, there's a way and that was proven this year. We all need these stress busters more often - the real socialization that the Digital world can never compensate.
Dance was the concluding and most enjoying part of our function, and even though it started a bit late, we enjoyed it to the fullest, extending it to almost midnight. You can feel it yourself watching the video - it was kind of a mini new year celebration.
